    • Anna Maria, or Mary, (Coblenz) Bastian was a half sister to Elizabeth Coblenz Maurer. Anna Maria worked for Osthoff's Hotel at the bath house during the summer. She took care of the changing rooms where guests changed into their swim suits immediately before going to the beach. You didn't wear your swim suit around the hotel. This bath house was in close proximity to the Pavilion that Sadie and Robert Maurer operated for Osthoff's during the summer. Anna Maria's husband, Ludwig Bastian, also worked for Osthoff's Hotel as a grounds-keeper and caretaker during the summer and doing general maintenance during the winter months. There was some relationship between Ludwig Bastian and the Osthoff family.

Their second child, Alice, married Nick Zorn and continued to live out her life in the same home in which her parents lived adjacent to Osthoff's on East St.
